Background

Dr. Richard C. Palmer is a faculty member in the Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the Robert Stempel School of Public Health, Florida International University.  Dr. Palmer’s research focuses on identifying the role social determinants have in creating and perpetuating health disparities. Much of Dr. Palmer’s research has specifically centered on the reduction of cancer burden and cancer-related disparities. He has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on observational studies and community-based intervention trials aimed at understanding and reducing cancer health inequities.
